1. Who we are
Masonic Ritual is an independent digital ritual-learning service. Nexus Ritual is operated by Nexus Aero, which develops and operates the technology behind the service. For data-protection purposes, Nexus Ritual is the service responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us through the Contact page.
2. Information we collect
We keep the information necessary to provide your account and ritual-pack access. This can include your email address, account authentication details handled by our authentication provider, your ritual-pack ownership and entitlement records, registered-device information, pack authorisations, version/update information, and records needed to support a purchase or customer enquiry.
If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to provide, including your name, email address, enquiry type and message.
3. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Masonic Ritual does not store your full card number or card security code. Stripe receives and processes payment information under its own privacy and security terms. We retain the purchase and entitlement information required to show what you own and to administer access.
4. Devices and Reader access
To enforce the permitted number of devices, the service stores a device identifier/token, a device label or type where available, its account relationship, status and connection information. Ritual packs may also be stored locally on an authorised device so the Reader can continue to work offline.
5. Contact forms and hosting
The website is hosted on Netlify. The Contact form is processed through Netlify Forms so that your enquiry can be delivered to us. Standard server and security logs may also be processed by hosting and infrastructure providers to operate and protect the service.
6. Authentication and service providers
Account authentication and service data are handled using Supabase. Stripe is used for payment processing and Netlify is used for website hosting and form handling. These providers process data only as needed to provide their respective services.
7. Why we use your information
We use personal information to create and secure accounts, provide purchased or authorised ritual packs, enforce device limits, process and record transactions, deliver support, prevent abuse, maintain service security and meet legal or accounting obligations. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
8. How long we keep it
Account and entitlement information is retained while your account or pack ownership needs to be maintained. Transaction records may be retained for legal, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. Contact enquiries are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any resulting issue.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, object to certain processing, or request portability. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Contact us first if you want us to review information held about you.
10. Security
We use account authentication, private pack storage, device authorisation and encrypted ritual-pack content as part of the service design. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their account password, device access and ritual access information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this notice when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top of the page shows the current published version.
